Healing the Hearts of Families Affected by Opioid Addiction

The opioid crisis has cast a dark shadow across countless families and communities. With more than 100,00 people dying from opioid overdose annually, and millions still struggling with substance use, this devastating epidemic leaves a heartbreaking trail of loss and grief in its wake.

Find Refuge with Project COPE

Project COPE is a dedicated support group designed to offer solace, connection and understanding for families who share the experience of a loved one who has died of an opioid overdose, survived an overdose, or are at high risk for overdose. As we unite in our shared grief, we’re building a powerful community that fosters hope, understanding, and healing — standing strong against the opioid epidemic and working towards a brighter future for ourselves and our loved ones.

A Place of Healing

In our program, you’ll find a safe space where you can share your story, connect with others who have experienced similar losses, and learn how to best cope with complex emotions and circumstances. Our empathetic and skilled facilitators will guide you through the healing process, providing valuable resources, insights, and strategies.

The Power of Shared Experiences

In the words of those who have walked this path before you:

  • “COPE is a meeting where I have learned to do just that – COPE. It is through this program that I was able to network and reach out to get help for my son. I was able to pass on what I have learned to help others. COPE is a place where we can go and not be ashamed, embarrassed or judged. We can all learn about the disease of addiction and how not to let it ruin our lives.”  – Linda
  • “Other programs, especially 12-step ones, were not enough for me. I needed emotional acceptance, not just intellectual understanding. And I got it! Several speakers at COPE shared beneficial ways to cope emotionally with my four addicted children. I learned how to establish and maintain boundaries. I discovered a new peace and slowly got my life back. Hurrah!” – Phillip
  • “COPE offers assistance in many ways, but I have been helped immensely by the many great speakers who attend. They shared their expertise on the illness of addiction, ways for those affected to cope with everyday life and major life changes. The more people who know about this program, the more who can be helped.” – Deborah
